Irving "Chuck" Miller was born on December 12, 1911. During World War II, he served as a medic with the 3rd Battalion, 86th Infantry Regiment and was stationed at Camp Hale, Colo.; Camp Swift, Tex.; and in Italy. Miller received two Bronze Star medals for his actions at the Apennines and Torbole in April 1945.
